Hey, I'm Angie!
Senior product designer working on systems that got too complicated
I'm based in Colorado, working as a product design consultant at Valtech. Most of my projects are enterprise platforms and responsive websites, where a bad flow costs someone an hour a day, every day.
I came to design through psychology and research, which shapes how I approach any UX problem. I want to know what people are doing when they open the tool, what they're avoiding, and where they've built workarounds nobody documented. AI has only amplified my curiosity about a user's workflow, with its ever-changing capabilities and limitations. At the end of the day, my goal is always to provide clean, efficient, and intuitive experiences that make people's lives easier.
Outside of work, I spend my time hiking, painting, doing puzzles, watching Jeopardy, and playing NYT word games. Really anything that gets my brain working!

Communication
I say what I think a design is getting wrong, early, when it's still cheap to change
Collaboration
The best work I've done came from engineers and PMs pushing back on my first idea
